Developing intentional and justice centered rapid relief funding strategies

With today’s socio-political climate, social justice movements need flexible, fast, consistent and solidarity centered gifts to build and thrive. Although we live in an age where funds can be shared quickly online, there is still a need for intentional giving that centers solidarity and not guilt.

Studies have shown that consistent, organized giving are the only ways for grassroots organizations to achieve growth and measurable impact. Dollars being channeled through private foundations tend to move slowly, and rarely go to organizations that are led by and primarily serve people of color. In the age of COVID-19 and resistance to police brutality, more individuals are in search of streamlined strategies of giving.

Given our backgrounds in anti-racist and inclusive grantmaking models we will develop your rapid relief funding strategy to intentionally and sustainably give to community organizers, movement leaders, and social justice organizations on the frontlines. These giving strategies will be buttressed by a safe space where allies self reflect on how giving has positively and negatively impacted social justice movement in the past and present.
